Strength is the equal-weighted average of % changes vs the other 7 majors. Updated about every 10 minutes.

How we calculate strength

We use all 28 cross combinations of 8 major currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, AUD, CAD, CHF, NZD).

When a currency is the quote (e.g., USD is the quote in EUR/USD), we invert the sign so strength is always measured from the currency's perspective.

1D strength uses intraday percentage changes from the latest available quotes. Session boundary follows the data provider's convention.

If data is older than expected, a 'Data delayed' indicator appears. We continue showing the last known values rather than blank states.

On very quiet days, we apply a small contrast boost for readability. Numeric values always reflect actual changes.
